Historical Overview
Palazzo Coli Bizzarrini, formerly known as Palazzo Francesconi, is a historic residence dating back to the early 16th century. Constructed between 1520 and 1527, its original design is attributed to the renowned Sienese architect Baldassarre Peruzzi, as documented by Bono del Monte dei Buondelmonti. The building remains unfinished due to Peruzzi’s commitments to prestigious Roman projects, including Villa Farnesina for Agostino Chigi and later the construction of St. Peter’s Basilica alongside Michelangelo.
